The YRC aims to inspire, encourage and initiate all forms of humanitarian activities so that human suffering can be minimized and thus contribute in creating peace in the society. Young volunteers have the potential to make a significant contribution to meet the needs of the most vulnerable people within their local communities through Youth Red Cross programme. The YRC unit aims to provide relief in times of disasters, emergencies and promote health and care of vulnerable people and communities.

The YRC wing focuses on:

• Helping society by providing food and clothes for the needy people
• Blood donation Camps
• AIDS awareness programme
• Promotion of health and hygiene
• Awareness on the care of their own health and that of others
• Train volunteers for undertaking humanitarian responsibilities
