AArogya Kendra

The College houses a dedicated healthcare unit called Arogya Kendra, which aims to provide comprehensive first aid and healthcare services to students. The facility focuses on addressing various aspects of women’s health, ranging from common ailments to more serious gynaecological concerns. The Arogya Kendra offers counselling, preventive measures, and curative treatments, making it a comprehensive healthcare unit for students.

OBJECTIVES:

  • To provide first-aid treatment to the students and staff
  • To create awareness and educate students about their general health
  • To diagnose the general health state and gynaecological problems
  • To conduct guest lectures in the related field of health
  • To Conduct annual Medical Health Checkup camps for general health and Dental checkup regularly
  • To conduct Blood donation camps
  • To establish a database for follow-up to record the improvement in the general health of students

Arogya Kendra, in collaboration with Lion’s Club Bangalore, Mindtree, and the Shrushti Foundation, organises an annual health check-up camp for all students and staff. The camp involves doctors from various specialties, including General Medicine, Obstetrics and gynaecology, ENT, Ophthalmology, Neurology, Psychiatry, and Orthopaedics. In cases of severe ailments, patients receive further treatment at hospitals. Esteemed doctors from institutions such as Rajarajeshwari Medical College, Devaraj Urs Medical College, Kolar, KIMS, and East-Point College for Medical Science and Research participate in the annual camp. Additionally, the college provides monthly health clinics for follow-ups on specific cases. Each year, approximately 1000 students and staff benefit from the camp, which addresses their health concerns and ailments.
