NMKRV College was established in 1973 in the fond memory of Sri. Meda Kasturiranga Setty and Smt. Nagarathnamma Meda Kasturiranga Setty, guided by the noble vision that “educating a girl child is like educating the entire family.” Managed by the RV Educational Institutions, the college has stood as a symbol of empowerment, providing quality higher education to women for over five decades.
From its modest beginnings with 150 students, the college has grown into a renowned institution with over 2,500 students and around 150 dedicated faculty members. It has consistently upheld academic excellence, holistic development and a strong commitment to research and innovation.

EVENTS
The inauguration of first-year degree classes for the 2024-2025 academic year at NMKRV was inaugurated by Maharajkumari Kamakshi Devi Avaru, who is the daughter of HH Jaya Chamaraja Wadiyar, the Maharaja of Mysore, and it was presided over by Ms. Maya Chandra, Chairperson of the Governing Council.
ಕನ್ನಡ ಹಬ್ಬ ೨೦೨೪ ಕಾಲೇಜಿನಲ್ಲಿ ೨ ದಿನಗಳ ಕಾಲ ಆಚರಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಕ್ಯಾತ ಸಾಹಿತಿ, ಚಲನಚಿತ್ರ ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕ, ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರಮಟ್ಟದ ಪ್ರಶಸ್ತಿ ವಿಜೇತ ನಾಗತಿಹಳ್ಳಿ ಚಂದ್ರಶೇಖರ್ ಹಾಗೂ ಎನ್,ಎಂ.ಕೆ.ಆರ್.ವಿ ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷೆ ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಮಾಯಾ ಚಂದ್ರಾ ಅವರು ಉದ್ಘಾಟಿಸಿದ್ರು. ಈ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಕನಸು ಕೃತಿ ೨೦೨೪ರ ಸಂಚಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಬಿಡುಗಡೆ ಮಾಡಿದರು. ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ಅಂಗವಾಗಿ ರಾಜ್ಯ ಮಟ್ಟದ ಸ್ಪರ್ಧೆ, ವಿವಿದ ಸಾಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಕ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಶೋಭಾ ಯಾತ್ರೆಯನ್ನು ನಡೆಸಲಾಯಿತು.
ಈ ಶೋಭಾ ಯಾತ್ರೆಗೆ ಜಯನಗರ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರದ ಶಾಸಕರಾದ ಸಿ.ಕೆ ರಾಮಮೂರ್ತಿ ಅವರು ಚಾಲನೆಯನ್ನು ನೀಡಿ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿನಿಯರನ್ನು ಪ್ರೋತ್ಸಾಹಿಸಿದರು.
ಶೋಭಾ ಯಾತ್ರೆಯ ಅಂಗವಾಗಿ ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿನಿಯರು ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ವಿವಿಧ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಗಳನ್ನು ಪ್ರತಿನಿಧಿಸಿದರು ಹಾಗೂ ಜಾನಪದ ನೃತ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಪ್ರದರ್ಶಿಸುವ ಮೂಲಕ ಕನ್ನಡ ಹಬ್ಬಕ್ಕೆ ಮೆರುಗು ನೀಡಿದರು.
