NMKRV College was established in 1973 in the fond memory of Sri. Meda Kasturiranga Setty and Smt. Nagarathnamma Meda Kasturiranga Setty, guided by the noble vision that “educating a girl child is like educating the entire family.” Managed by the RV Educational Institutions, the college has stood as a symbol of empowerment, providing quality higher education to women for over five decades.

From its modest beginnings with 150 students, the college has grown into a renowned institution with over 2,500 students and around 150 dedicated faculty members. It has consistently upheld academic excellence, holistic development and a strong commitment to research and innovation.

In a historic and progressive step, the college became a co-educational institution from the academic year 2025. This marks a new era of inclusivity and equal opportunity, extending its legacy of excellence to all learners.
