IGNOU Study Centre 13158 at our NMKRV College for Women, Jayanagar, Bangalore – 11, established in the year 2018 under the Novel intention of our RSST & able guidance of our Principal, Dr. Snehalata G Nadiger. She is the HOI, Dr. M V Rajeswari, is the Coordinator of the Study Centre. Ms Veena K is the Asst. Coordinator. Two Office Assistants, Two Office Attenders & One Peon are the part-time office bearers. Nearly 30 Counsellors’ work for the Centre in Conducting the Clasess. We have Students from all over The INDIA .
IGNOU Study Centre 13158 at NMKRV has nearly 1900 No. Of students in its UG, PG, Diploma & PG Diploma programmes. IGNOU Online admissions are in Two sessions per year ( January to June & July to December). The Centre provides BA Honours & General, MA in psychology, PG Diploma in Mental Health, PG Diploma in Analytical Chemistry, MA & PG DJMC, MA, PG Diploma & Diploma in Women & Gendre Stidies at present.
At every session the centre conducts Induction programme & Orientation Programmes for the new comers. Theory and Practical Counselling Clasess are held, Assignment evaluation (Nearly 14000) & Practical Examinations are held Twice a year.
The IGNOU Study Centre 13158 at our NMKRV has Conducted State Level Training Programme for the IGNOU Staff, National Level and State-Level Online Seminars & Trainings for the Counselling Staff and Our Centre Students in association with the IGNOU Bangalore Regional Centre,
Dr. M V Rajeswari,The Centre Coordinator has translated the 33rd Convocation Message of the Chief Guest, Shri Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ Minister, MHRD, GI into the Regional Language which was relayed throughout the programme. She was also one of the MC at the 33rd Convocation of IGNOU Regional Centre, .Bangalore.
She was a Resource Person at the MAHA-INDUCTION programme for 2020 Batch of IGNOU RCB on 17-02-2020 at Sri Puttanna Chetty Town Hall, Bangalore.
In collaboration with the IGNOU Regional Centre, Bangalore She had organised 2 Sessions of Online Induction Programme through WebEx on 24th April 2020 for the January Batch Students and 84% of the students were the beneficiaries’. Another 3 Seminars are going to be held in the months of February and March 2021.

All the students of MAPC & PGDMH and the Counsellors are constantly serving as counsellors to the public of their domain boosting the self confidence at this time of Corona Pandemic situation.
The Academic Counsellors of IGNOU SC 13158 were oriented by the Resource Persons from the Discipline of Psychology IGNOU, New Delhi on 16th June 2020 hosted in association with IGNOU RCB.
IGNOU SC 13158 in collaboration with the IGNOU Regional Centre, Bangalore had organised State Level Webinars through WebEx on 3rd July 2020 Topic: “Importance of Psychology in day-to-day life”. & 0n 26th July 2020 Topic: “Common Mental Disorders” Both Programmes were of great success.
Online Classes and Evaluation work for all the streams of IGNOUSC 13158 programmes are ongoing successfully.
Asst Coordinator & Ast. Prof Veena K is guiding 24 PG Students Projects, where in Dr.Netravathi, Dr. Akeela P, Dr Deepti Swami (are Our college alumni) & Ast. Prof. Paul Raj are guiding each 15 PG Students for their Projects.
