Language is a tool not only to interact and socialize, but also to relate to other cultures and interpret contexts. Cognitive benefits of learning multiple language are undeniable. Moreover, learning foreign language provides a competitive edge to students in career choices in this global community.

It is in this context that NMKRV offers one foreign language to students in the first two years of their degree course. As a pilot initiative, the Department of English has introduced French Foundation Course, a 60 hours Basic French Language Certificate Course imparted by proficient and qualified trainers. Classes are conducted during weekends and during vacations. This accords basic knowledge about French language and equips the students to take up advanced courses and competitive exams in French language.
